Abstract: Single Spin Asymmetry $A_N$ (SSA) was measured at the Protvino 70 GeV accelerator. Asymmetry in the reaction $\ppdup$ is close to zero within error bars at small $|\xf|$ and $p_T<1.5$ GeV/c. SSA in the reaction $\pimp$ at polarized target fragmentation region equals to $(-13.8 \pm 3.8)%$ at $|x_f|>0.4$. There is an indication that the asymmetry begins to rise up at the same centre of mass system… ▽ More Single Spin Asymmetry $A_N$ (SSA) was measured at the Protvino 70 GeV accelerator. Abstract: The energy dependence of the energy and position resolutions of the electromagnetic calorimeter prototype made of lead tungstate crystals produced in Bogoroditsk (Russia) and Shanghai (China) is presented. Development of a Momentum Determined Electron Beam in the 1 -45 GeV Range

Abstract: A beam line for electrons with energies in the range of 1 to 45 GeV, low contamination of hadrons and muons and high intensity up to 10^6 per accelerator spill at 27 GeV was setup at U70 accelerator in Protvino, Russia. A beam tagging system based on drift chambers with 160 micron resolution was able to measure relative electron beam momentum precisely. This test beam setup provided the possibility to study properties of lead tungstate crystals (PbWO_4) for the BTeV experiment at Fermilab. △ Less

Insufficiency of Available Data on the Behaviour of the Meanlives of Unstable Hadrons with Energy

Abstract: We review the available evidence according to which physical media alter the Minkowskian spacetime with consequential alteration of the speed of light; we point out the apparent emergence of superluminal speeds within the hyperdense hadrons; and we point out the lack of conclusive character of the available related measure, those on the behaviour of the meanlives of unstable kaons with energy.
