Abstract: Probe pulse preparation techniques play an important role for fiber-optic sensing. In this work, we investigate a setup for distributed sensors based on phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry ($Φ$-OTDR) with the use of an erbium doped fibre amplifier (EDFA).
