Products and push-forwards in parametrised cohomology theories

Abstract: We define a symmetric monoidal structure on the parametrised stable homotopy category over a base space with an action of an $E_\infty$ operad. We discuss products, orientations and push-forwards in parametrised cohomology theories corresponding to parametrised ring spectra. Finally, we construct parametrised ring spectra representing twisted K-theory and twisted Spinc-cobordism. Abstract: The goal of the course was a review of results mainly due to M. Olbrich and the first author. We consider a discrete cocompact subgroup $Γ$ of a semisimple Lie group $G$. We relate the group cohomology of $Γ$ with coefficients in the maximal globalization of a representation of $G$ with the multiplicities of unitary representations of $G$ in $L^2(G/Γ)$.
