Abstract: This work is on the Physics of the B Factories. Part A of this book contains a brief description of the SLAC and KEK B Factories as well as their detectors, BaBar and Belle, and data taking related issues. Part B discusses tools and methods used by the experiments in order to obtain results. The results themselves can be found in Part C. Measurement of sigma(pp -> b anti-b X) at \sqrt(s)=7 TeV in the forward region

Abstract: Decays of b hadrons into final states containing a D0 meson and a muon are used to measure the b anti-b production cross-section in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV at the LHC. Abstract: We report the newest results from the KLOE experiment on hadronic physics, such as the parameters of scalars f0 and a0, the eta meson mass measurements and dynamics, the first observation of the eta -> p+p-e+e- rare decay, and study of e+e- -> omega p0 cross section around the phi resonance. Deviations from the superposition model in a Dual Parton Model with formation zone cascade in both projectile and target nuclei

Abstract: A Dual Parton Model with a formation zone intranuclear cascade in the spectators of the projectile and target nuclei is studied. The hadrons produced in the formation zone cascade contribute to Feynman-$x_F$ and lab-$x$ distributions in the fragmentation regions of the target and projectile nuclei. We discuss the consequences of this model in the secondary cosmic ray production, by analyzing the… ▽ More A Dual Parton Model with a formation zone intranuclear cascade in the spectators of the projectile and target nuclei is studied.
