Abstract: The lepton number violation decay $ω\to π^+ π^+ e^-e^- +c.c.$ is searched for via $J/ψ\to ωη$ using a data sample of $(1.0087 \pm 0.0044) \times 10^{10}$ $J/ψ$ events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. Abstract: Utilizing $7.9\,\rm fb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data taken with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV, we report the measurements of absolute branching fractions of the hadronic decays $D^0\to K^- 3π^+2π^-$, $D^0\to K^- 2π^+π^-2π^0$ and $D^+\to K^- 3π^+π^-π^0$. Search for $η_{1}(1855)$ in $χ_{cJ}\toηηη^{\prime}$ decays

Abstract: Based on a sample of $2.7\times10^{9}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, an analysis of the decay $ψ(3686)\toγχ_{cJ}, χ_{cJ}\toηηη^{\prime}$ is performed. The decay modes $χ_{c1}$ and $χ_{c2}\toηηη^{\prime}$ are observed for the first time, and their corresponding branching fractions are determined to be… ▽ More Based on a sample of $2.7\times10^{9}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, an analysis of the decay $ψ(3686)\toγχ_{cJ}, χ_{cJ}\toηηη^{\prime}$ is performed. The decay modes $χ_{c1}$ and $χ_{c2}\toηηη^{\prime}$ are observed for the first time, and their corresponding branching fractions are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\toηηη^{\prime}) = (1.39 \pm 0.13(\text{stat.}) \pm 0.09(\text{sys.})) \times 10^{-4}$ and $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c2}\toηηη^{\prime}) = (4.42 \pm 0.86(\text{stat.}) \pm 0.37(\text{sys.})) \times 10^{-5}$. An upper limit on the branching fraction of $χ_{c0}\toηηη^{\prime}$ is set as $2.64 \times 10^{-5}$ at 90\% confidence level (CL). A partial wave analysis (PWA) of the decay $χ_{c1}\toηηη^{\prime}$ is performed to search for the $1^{-+}$ exotic state $η_1(1855)$. The PWA result indicates that the structure in the $ηη^{\prime}$ mass spectrum is mainly attributed to the $f_0(1500)$, while in the $ηη$ mass spectrum, it is primarily the $0^{++}$ phase space. The upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\toη_{1}(1855)η) \cdot \mathcal{B}(η_{1}(1855)\toηη^{\prime})< 9.79 \times 10^{-5}$ is set based on the PWA at 90\% CL. △ Less

Abstract: We report a study of the semileptonic decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-μ^+ν_μ$ based on a sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of the decay is measured for the first time to be… ▽ More We report a study of the semileptonic decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-μ^+ν_μ$ based on a sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of the decay is measured for the first time to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-μ^+ν_μ) = (1.373 \pm 0.020_{\rm stat} \pm 0.023_{\rm syst})\%$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Based on the investigation of the decay dynamics, we find that the decay is dominated by the $K^{*}(892)^-$ resonance with the branching fraction measured to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ) = (1.948 \pm 0.033_{\rm stat} \pm 0.036_{\rm syst})\%$. We also determine the hadronic form factors for the $D^0\rightarrow K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ$ decay to be $r_{V} = V(0)/A_1(0) = 1.46 \pm 0.11_{\rm stat} \pm 0.04_{\rm syst}$, $r_{2} = A_2(0)/A_1(0) = 0.71 \pm 0.08_{\rm stat} \pm 0.03_{\rm syst}$, and $A_1(0)=0.609 \pm 0.008_{\rm stat} \pm 0.008_{\rm syst}$, where $V(0)$ is the vector form factor and $A_{1,2}(0)$ are the axial form factors evaluated at $q^2=0$. The $A_1(0)$ is measured for the first time in $D^0\rightarrow K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ$ decay. Averaging the form-factor parameters that we reported previously in $D^0\rightarrow K^*(892)^-(\rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-)e^+ν_{e}$ and $D^0\rightarrow K^*(892)^-(\rightarrow K^-π^0)μ^+ν_μ$ decays, we obtain $r_{V}=1.456\pm0.040_{\rm stat}\pm0.016_{\rm syst}$, $r_{2}=0.715\pm0.031_{\rm stat}\pm0.014_{\rm stat}$, and $A_1(0)=0.614\pm0.005_{\rm stat}\pm0.004_{\rm syst}$. This is the most precise determination of the form-factor parameters to date measured in $D\rightarrow K^*(892)$ transition, which provide the most stringent test on various theoretical models. △ Less

Observation of Transverse Polarization and Determination of Electromagnetic Form Factor of $Λ$ Hyperon at $\sqrt{s}= 3.773$ GeV

This result indicates a non-zero phase between the transition amplitudes of the $Λ\barΛ$ helicity states. Observation of a Three-Resonance Structure in the Cross Section of $e^+e^-\toπ^+π^- h_c$

Abstract: Using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, the cross section of $e^+e^-\to π^+π^- h_c$ is measured at 59 points with center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$ ranging from $4.009$ to $4.950~\mathrm{GeV}$ with a total integrated luminosity of $22.2~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The cross section between $4.3$ and $4.45~\mathrm{GeV}$ exhibits a… ▽ More Using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, the cross section of $e^+e^-\to π^+π^- h_c$ is measured at 59 points with center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$ ranging from $4.009$ to $4.950~\mathrm{GeV}$ with a total integrated luminosity of $22.2~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The cross section between $4.3$ and $4.45~\mathrm{GeV}$ exhibits a plateau-like shape and drops sharply around $4.5~\mathrm{GeV}$, which cannot be described by two resonances only. Three coherent Breit-Wigner functions are used to parameterize the $\sqrt{s}$-dependent cross section line shape. The masses and widths are determined to be $M_1=(4223.6_{-3.7-2.9}^{+3.6+2.6})~\mathrm{MeV}/c^2$, $Γ_1=(58.5_{-11.4-6.5}^{+10.8+6.7})~\mathrm{MeV}$, $M_2=(4327.4_{-18.8-9.3}^{+20.1+10.7})~\mathrm{MeV}/c^2$, $Γ_2=(244.1_{-27.1-18.0}^{+34.0+23.9})~\mathrm{MeV}$, and $M_3=(4467.4_{-5.4-2.7}^{+7.2+3.2})~\mathrm{MeV}/c^2$, $Γ_3=(62.8_{-14.4-6.6}^{+19.2+9.8})~\mathrm{MeV}$. The first uncertainties are statistical and the other two are systematic. Abstract: By analysing $e^+e^-$ annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 368.48~pb$^{-1}$ collected at the centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s} = 4.918$ and $4.951$~GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$ and $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^0π^0$ with statistical significances of 7.9$σ$ and 11.8$σ$, respectively. Abstract: Using a dataset of $(27.12\pm 0.14)\times 10^{8}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we report the first observation of the decay $ψ(3686)\toΣ^{0}\barΣ^{0}ω$ with a statistical significance of 8.9$σ$. Furthermore, the quantum-entangled $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ system enables the most precise test of $CP$ symmetry for the decay $Σ^+\to pπ^0$, through the asymmetry observable $A_{CP}=(α_{0}+\barα_{0})/(α_{0}-\barα_{0})$ that is measured to be $-0.0118\pm0.0083_{\rm stat}\pm0.0028_{\rm syst}$. Assuming $CP$ conservation, the average decay parameter is determined to be ${\left< α_{\rm 0}\right>} = (α_0-\barα_0)/2=-0.9869\pm0.0011_{\rm stat}\pm0.0016_{\rm syst}$, which is the most precise measurement of the asymmetry decay parameters in baryon sectors. The angular dependence of the ratio of the polarization of the $Σ^+$ in both $J/ψ$ and $ψ(3686)$ decays is studied for the first time. △ Less

The branching fraction of $D_{s}^{+} \to K_{S}^{0}K_{L}^{0}π^{+}$ is determined to be $(1.86\pm0.06_{\rm stat}\pm0.03_{\rm syst})\%$. Combining the $\mathcal{B}(D_{s}^{+} \to φ(\to K_{S}^0K_{L}^0) π^+)$ obtained in this work and the world average of $\mathcal{B}(D_{s}^{+} \to φ(\to K^+K^-) π^+)$, we measure the relative branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(φ\to K_S^0K_L^0)/\mathcal{B}(φ\to K^+K^-)$=($0.597 \pm 0.023_{\rm stat} \pm 0.018_{\rm syst} \pm 0.016_{\rm PDG}$), which deviates from the PDG value by more than 3$σ$. The BF of the inclusive decay $Λ_{c}^{+} \to \overline{K}^{0} / K^{0} X$ is calculated to be $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+} \to \overline{K}^{0} / K^{0} X)=(21.8 \pm0.4 \pm0.2 \pm1.1)\%$, where the third uncertainty accounts for a possible difference between $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+} \to K_{S}^{0} X)$ and $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+} \to K_{L}^{0} X)$. Abstract: Using data samples with a total integrated luminosity of 253 $\rm pb^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the differential cross-sections of inclusive $π^\pm$ and $K^\pm$ production, as a function of momentum and normalized by the total hadronic cross-section, are measured at center-of-mass energies from 2.000 to 3.671 GeV. Abstract: Using $(2712\pm14)\times10^6$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the radiative decay $ψ(3686)\to γK_S^0 K_S^0$ within the mass region $M_{K_S^0 K_S^0 }<2.8$ GeV/$c^2$. In comparison to the low significance of the $\mathcal{D}$ wave in the decay $D_s^+ \to φρ^+$, the dominance of the $\mathcal{D}$ wave over the $\mathcal{S}$ and $\mathcal{P}$ waves, with a fraction of $(51.85\pm7.28_{\rm stat}\pm7.90_{\rm syst})\%$ observed in the decay, provides crucial information for the``polarization puzzle", as well as for the understanding of charm meson decays. The branching fraction of $D^+_s\to π^+π^+π^-π^0π^0$ is measured to be $(4.41\pm0.15_{\rm stat}\pm0.13_{\rm syst})\%$. Moreover, the branching fraction of $D_s^+ \to φρ^+$ is measured to be $(3.98\pm0.33_{\rm stat}\pm0.21_{\rm syst})\%$, and the $R_φ= {\mathcal{B}(φ\toπ^+π^-π^0)}/{\mathcal{B}(φ\to K^+K^-)}$ is determined to be $(0.222\pm0.019_{\rm stat}\pm0.016_{\rm syst}$), which is consistent with the previous measurement based on charm meson decays, but deviates from the results from $e^+e^-$ annihilation and $K$-$N$ scattering experiments by more than 3$σ$. △ Less

This result is consistent with the LQCD calculation… ▽ More Using $(2712.4\pm14.3)\times10^{6}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the decay $η_c\toγγ$ in $J/ψ\toγη_c$ is observed. We determine the product branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\toγη_c)\times\mathcal{B}(η_c\toγγ)=(5.23\pm0.26_{\rm{stat.}}\pm0.30_{\rm{syst.}})\times10^{-6}$. This result is consistent with the LQCD calculation $(5.34\pm0.16)\times10^{-6}$ from HPQCD in 2023. By using the world-average values of $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\toγη_c)$ and the total decay width of $η_c$, the partial decay width $Γ(η_c\toγγ)$ is determined to be $(11.30\pm0.56_{\rm{stat.}}\pm0.66_{\rm{syst.}}\pm1.14_{\rm{ref.}})~\rm{keV}$, which deviates from the corresponding world-average value by $3.4σ$. △ Less

Abstract: We report an improved study of the semileptonic decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}$ based on a sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be… ▽ More We report an improved study of the semileptonic decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}$ based on a sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}) = (1.444 \pm 0.022_{\rm stat} \pm 0.024_{\rm syst})\%$, which is the most precise to date, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Based on investigation of the decay dynamics, we find that the decay is dominated by the $K^{*}(892)^-$ component and present an improved measurement of its branching fraction to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e) = (2.039 \pm 0.032_{\rm stat} \pm 0.034_{\rm syst})\%$. We also determine the ratios of the hadronic form factors for the $K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e$ decay to be $r_{V} = V(0)/A_1(0) = 1.48 \pm 0.05_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$ and $r_{2} = A_2(0)/A_1(0) = 0.70 \pm 0.04_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$, where $V(0)$ is the vector form factor and $A_{1,2}(0)$ are the axial form factors. In addition, the $\bar{K}^0π^-$ $\mathcal{S}$-wave component is found to account for $(5.87 \pm 0.32_{\rm stat} \pm 0.16_{\rm syst})\%$ of the total decay rate, corresponding to a branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}[D^0\rightarrow (\bar{K}^0π^-)_{S-{\rm wave}}e^+ν_e] = (0.085 \pm 0.005_{\rm stat} \pm 0.003_{\rm syst})\%$. △ Less

Observation of the $e^+e^-\to K^0_S K^0_S ψ(3686)$ process is found for the first time with a statistical significance of $6.3σ$, and the cross sections at each center-of-mass energy are measured. The ratio of cross sections of $e^+e^-\to K_S^0 K_S^0 ψ(3686)$ relative to $e^+e^-\to K^+ K^- ψ(3686)$ is determined to be $\frac{σ(e^+e^-\to K_S^0 K_S^0 ψ(3686))}{σ(e^+e^-\to K^+ K^- ψ(3686))}=0.45 \pm 0.25$, which is consistent with the prediction based on isospin symmetry. The uncertainty includes both statistical and systematic contributions. Additionally, the $K_S^0ψ(3686)$ invariant mass distribution is found to be consistent with three-body phase space. The significance of a contribution beyond three-body phase space is only $0.8σ$. △ Less

In this… ▽ More Coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) provides a unique probe for neutrino properties Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics. REactor neutrino LIquid xenon Coherent Scattering experiment (RELICS), a proposed reactor neutrino program using liquid xenon time projection chamber (LXeTPC) technology, aims to investigate the CEvNS process of antineutrinos off xenon atomic nuclei. In this work, the design of the experiment is studied and optimized based on Monte Carlo (MC) simulations. To achieve a sufficiently low energy threshold for CEvNS detection, an ionization-only analysis channel is adopted for RELICS. A high emission rate of delayed electrons after a big ionization signal is the major background, leading to an analysis threshold of 120 photo-electrons in the CEvNS search. The second largest background, nuclear recoils induced by cosmic-ray neutrons, is suppressed via a passive water shield. The physics potential of RELICS is explored with a 32 kg*yr exposure at a baseline of 25 m from a reactor core with a 3 GW thermal power. In an energy range of 120 to 300 PE, corresponding to an average nuclear recoil from 0.63 to 1.36 keV considering the liquid xenon response and detector-related effect, we expect 4639.7 CEvNS and 1687.8 background events. The sensitivity of RELICS to the weak mixing angle is investigated at a low momentum transfer. Our study shows that RELICS can further improve the constraints on the non-standard neutrino interaction (NSI) compared to the current best results. △ Less
