Measurement of $Γ(η\to π^+π^-γ)/Γ(η\to π^+π^-π^0)$ with KLOE experiment

Abstract: We report the measurement of the ratio $Γ(η\to π^+π^-γ)/Γ(η\to π^+π^-π^0)$ analyzing a large sample of $φ\to ηγ$ decays recorded with the KLOE experiment at the DA$Φ$NE $e^+ e^-$ collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 558 pb$^{-1}$. The $η\to π^+π^-γ$ process is supposed to proceed both via a resonant contribution, mediated by the $ρ$ meson, and a non resonant direct term, connecte… ▽ More We report the measurement of the ratio $Γ(η\to π^+π^-γ)/Γ(η\to π^+π^-π^0)$ analyzing a large sample of $φ\to ηγ$ decays recorded with the KLOE experiment at the DA$Φ$NE $e^+ e^-$ collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 558 pb$^{-1}$. Abstract: We report the first observation of the rare eta->e+e-e+e- decay based on 1.7 fb^{-1} collected by the KLOE experiment at the DAFNE phi-factory. The selection of the e+e-e+e- final state is fully inclusive of radiation. We have identified 362 +- 29 events resulting in a branching ratio of (2.4 +- 0.2_stat+bckg +- 0.1_syst) x 10^{-5}. We report the first observation of the rare eta->e+e-e+e- decay based on 1.7 fb^{-1} collected by the KLOE experiment at the DAFNE phi-factory. Precise measurement of B(K\to eν(γ))/B(K\to μν(γ)) and study of K\to eνγ

Abstract: We present a precise measurement of the ratio R_K=B(K\to eν(γ))/B(K\to μν(γ)) and a study of the radiative process $K\to eνγ$, performed with the KLOE detector. The results are based on data collected at the Frascati $e^+e^-$ collider DAFNE for an integrated luminosity of 2.2 fb$^{-1}$. Abstract: We have studied the e+e- -> omegapi0 cross section in the sqrt(s) interval 1000-1030 MeV using the pi+pi-pi0pi0 and pi0pi0gamma final states with a sample of ~600 pb^-1 collected with the KLOE detector at DAFNE. By fitting the observed interference pattern around M_phi for both final states, we extract the ratio of the decay widths Gamma(omega->pi0gamma)/Gamma(omega->pi+pi-pi0) = 0.0897 +- 0.001… ▽ More We have studied the e+e- -> omegapi0 cross section in the sqrt(s) interval 1000-1030 MeV using the pi+pi-pi0pi0 and pi0pi0gamma final states with a sample of ~600 pb^-1 collected with the KLOE detector at DAFNE. Measurement of the eta mass at KLOE

Abstract: An integrated luminosity of 410 pb^(-1), corresponding to ~ 17 million of eta events, has been analyzed to measure the eta mass using the decay eta to gamma gamma. The measurement is insensitive to the calorimeter energy calibration and the systematic error on the measurement is dominated by the uniformity of the detector response. Study of the radiative decay phi to a0(980) gamma with the KLOE detector

Abstract: A sample of 1.25x10^9 phi decays, collected with the KLOE detector at the Frascati phi-factory DAFNE at center of mass energy ~ Mphi, has been used to study the radiative decay phi to eta pi0 gamma. This decay is dominated by phi to a0(980) gamma. Two decay chains, corresponding to eta to gamma gamma and eta to pi+ pi- pi0, have been selected. KLOE extraction of $a_μ^{ππ}$ in the mass range [0.35,0.95] GeV^2

Abstract: We present an improved determination of the CP and CPT violation parameters Re(epsilon) and Im(delta) based on the unitarity condition (Bell-Steinberger relation) and on recent results from the KLOE experiment. We find Re(epsilon) = (159.6 \pm 1.3)10^-5 and Im(delta) = (0.4 \pm 2.1)10^-5, consistent with no CPT violation. Study of the branching ratio and charge asymmetry for the decay Ks->pi e nu with the KLOE detector

Abstract: Among some 400 million KsKl pairs produced in e+e- annihilations at DAFNE, about 6500 each of Ks->pi+e-nubar and Ks->pi-e+nu decays have been observed with the KLOE detector. From these, the ratio G(Ks->pienu)/G(Ks->p+p-(g))=(10.19+-0.13)10-4 is obtained, improving the accuracy on BR(Ks->pienu) by a factor of four and providing the most precise test of the DeltaS=DeltaQ rule. A direct search for the CP-violating decay Ks->3p^0 with the KLOE detector at DAFNE

Upper Limit on the eta to gamma gamma gamma Branching Ratio with the KLOE Detector

Searching for eta to 3 gamma decay

Abstract: Data collected by the KLOE experiment in years 2001/2002 for a total integrated luminosity of 410 pb$^{-1}$, corresponding to 17 million of produced $η$'s from the $Φ\to ηγ$ radiative decay, have been analyzed to look for the C-violating decay $η\toγγγ$. The signal is searched in events with 4 photons in the final state by using the spectrum of the most energetic photon. The background is evalua… ▽ More Data collected by the KLOE experiment in years 2001/2002 for a total integrated luminosity of 410 pb$^{-1}$, corresponding to 17 million of produced $η$'s from the $Φ\to ηγ$ radiative decay, have been analyzed to look for the C-violating decay $η\toγγγ$. The signal is searched in events with 4 photons in the final state by using the spectrum of the most energetic photon. The background is evaluated from the data themself, doing a fifth degree polynomial fit outside the signal region, and extrapolating inside it. No signal has been observed and taking into account a selection efficiency $ε= 20.3 %$ we get from a likelihood fit Br$(η\toγγγ) \le 1.6\times10^{-5}$ at 95% CL. Measurement of Gamma(Ks -> pi+pi-gamma)/Gamma(Ks -> pi0pi0)

Study of the Decay phi --> eta pi0 gamma with the KLOE detector

Abstract: In a sample of 5.3x10^7 phi-decays observed with the KLOE detector at the Frascati phi-factory Dafne we find 605 eta pi0 gamma events with eta --> gammaγand 197 eta pi0 gamma events with eta --> pi+ pi- pi0. The decay phi --> eta pi0 gamma is dominated by the process phi --> a0 gamma. From a fit to the eta pi0 mass spectrum we find BR(phi --> ao(980) gamma)= (7.4 +- 0.7)x10^-5. Measurement of the branching fraction for the decay KS --> pi e nu

Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching ratio BR(KS --> pi e nu) performed using the KLOE detector. KS mesons are produced in the reaction e+ e- --> phi --> KS KL at the DAFNE collider. In a sample of about 5 million KS-tagged events we find 624 +- 30 semileptonic KS decays. The five photon final state has been exploited to study the rare decays of phi into f0(980) photon and a0(980) photon, with statistical accuracy never reached before. The preliminary results for these branching ratios, from a data… ▽ More The KLOE detector at DAFNE, the Frascati phi-factory, has collected about 30 pb^-1 by the end of 2000, corresponding to about 90 millions of phi(1020) mesons produced. The preliminary results for these branching ratios, from a data sample of 17 pb^-1, are the following: BR(phi-->f0(980) photon)=(23.7 +- 0.6 (stat.) times 10^-5, BR(phi--> a0(980) photon)=(5.8 +- 0.5 (stat.)) times 10^-5. The systematic error is expected to be less than 10%, a precise evaluation is going on. For the ratio of the branching ratios of phi--> f0 photon to phi--> a0 photon we find 4.1 +- 0.4 (stat.). △ Less

Studies of K0S decays with the KLOE detector at DAFNE

Custom electronics assert a trigger in a 2 microseconds decision time and distributes it to the FEE with a 50 ps time resolution.
