Abstract:
The first direct measurement of the relative phase between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes for a $J/ψ$ decaying into a vector-pseudoscalar final state is performed using 26 energy points of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data between $3.00\ \text{GeV}$ and \mbox{3.12 GeV}. The first direct measurement of the relative phase between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes for a $J/ψ$ decaying into a vector-pseudoscalar final state is performed using 26 energy points of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data between $3.00\ \text{GeV}$ and \mbox{3.12 GeV}. The data sets were collected by the BESIII detector with a total integrated luminosity of 452 pb$^{-1}$. By investigating the interference pattern in the cross section lineshape of $e^+e^-\toφη$, the relative phase between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes of $J/ψ$ decay is determined to be within $[133^\circ,228^\circ]$ at 68\% confidence level. The result hints at interference between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes of $J/ψ$ decay.

Using $e^+e^-$ collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 22.7 fb$^{-1}$, collected at center-of-mass energies between 3.7 and 4.7 GeV with the BESIII detector, we present a measurement of energy-dependent cross sections and effective form factors for the process of $e^+e^-\to Ω^{-}\barΩ^+$. Using $e^+e^-$ collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 22.7 fb$^{-1}$, collected at center-of-mass energies between 3.7 and 4.7 GeV with the BESIII detector, we present a measurement of energy-dependent cross sections and effective form factors for the process of $e^+e^-\to Ω^{-}\barΩ^+$. By conducting a fit to the cross sections of $e^+e^-\to Ω^{-}\barΩ^+$ considering the continuum and resonant contributions, a clear resonant structure in the spectrum around 4.2 GeV is observed for the first time with a statistical significance exceeding 10$σ$, and it can be well described with the line shape of the $Y(4230)$ and $Y(4320)$ observed in $e^+e^-\to π^{+}π^{-}J/ψ$. Evidence for the decay $ψ(3770) \to Ω^-\barΩ^{+}$ is observed with a statistical significance of 4.4$σ$ by analyzing the measured cross sections together with earlier BESIII results, and the branching fraction is firstly measured to be $(4.0\pm1.0\pm0.6)$ $\times$ $10^{-5}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

By analysing $e^+e^-$ annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 368.48~pb$^{-1}$ collected at the centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s} = 4.918$ and $4.951$~GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$ and $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^0π^0$ with statistical significances of 7.9$σ$ and 11.8$σ$, respectively. The branching fractions of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$ and $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^0π^0$ are measured to be $(59.5 \pm 11.1_{\rm stat.} \pm 7.9_{\rm syst.}) \%$ and $(41.0 \pm 5.2_{\rm stat.} \pm 3.3_{\rm syst.}) \%$, respectively. The absolute branching fraction of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$ is consistent with the expectation of the mechanism referred to as the threshold effect, proposed for the strong decays of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$ within uncertainty.

By analyzing $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3~fb$^{-1}$, we measure the branching fractions of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) decays $D^0\to K^+π^-$, $D^0\to K^+π^-π^-π^+$, $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0$, $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0π^0$, $D^+\to K^+π^+π^-$, and $D^+\to K^+K^+K^-$. We also perform the first searches for $D^0\to K^+π^-η$, $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0η$, $D^+\to K^+π^+π^-η$, $D^{+} \to K^{+} \left(π^{+} π^{-} η\right)_{{\rm non}-η^{\prime}}$, and $D^+\to K^+ηη$ and report the first observations and evidence for some of these final states. Combining the measurements with the world averages of the corresponding Cabibbo-favored (CF) decays, the ratios of the DCS/CF branching fractions are obtained. For the $D^{+} \to K^{+} \left(π^{+} π^{-} η\right)_{{\rm non}-η^{\prime}}$ decay, the ratio is significantly larger than the corresponding ratios of the other DCS decays.

We search, for the first time, for an exotic molecular state with quantum numbers $J^{PC}=1^{-+}$, called $X$, via the process $e^{+}e^{-} \to γD^{+}_{s} D_{s1}^{-}(2536) +c.c.$ using data samples corresponding to a luminosity of $5.8~\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ across center-of-mass energies from 4.612 to 4.951~GeV, collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. No statistically significant signal is observed. The upper limits on the product of cross-section and branching fraction $σ({e^{+}e^{-} \to γX}) \times \mathcal{B}(X \to D^{+}_{s} D_{s1}^{-}(2536) +c.c.)$ at 90\% confidence level are reported for each energy point, assuming the $X$ mass to be 4.503~GeV/$c^{2}$ and the width 25, 50, 75, and 100~MeV, respectively.

By analyzing a $ψ(3686)$ data sample containing $(107.7\pm0.6)\times10^{6}$ events taken with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring in 2009, the $χ_{c0}$ resonance parameters are precisely measured using $χ_{c0,c2} \to π^+π^-/K^+K^-$ events. The mass of $χ_{c0}$ is determined to be $M(χ_{c0})=(3415.67\pm0.07\pm0.06\pm0.07$)~MeV/$c^2$, and its full width is $Γ(χ_{c0})=(12.44\pm0.12\pm0.12)~{\rm MeV}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third for mass comes from $χ_{c2}$ mass uncertainty. These measurements improve the precision of $χ_{c0}$ mass by a factor of four and width by one order of magnitude over the previous individual measurements, and significantly boost our knowledge about the charmonium spectrum. Together with additional $(345.4\pm2.6)\times10^{6}$ $ψ(3686)$ data events taken in 2012, the decay branching fractions of $χ_{c0,c2}\toπ^+π^-/K^+K^-$ are measured as well, with precision improved by a factor of three compared to previous measurements. These $χ_{c0}$ decay branching fractions provide important inputs for the study of glueballs.

By analyzing 7.93 $\rm fb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider, we report the observation of the semimuonic decays of $D^+\to \bar K_1(1270)^0μ^+ν_μ$ and $D^0\to K_1(1270)^-μ^+ν_μ$ with statistical significances of $12.5σ$ and $6.0σ$, respectively. Their decay branching fractions are determined to be ${\mathcal B}[D^{+}\to \bar{K}_1(1270)^0 μ^{+}ν_μ]=(2.36\pm0.20^{+0.18}_{-0.27}\pm 0.48)\times10^{-3}$ and ${\mathcal B}[D^{0}\to K_1(1270)^{-} μ^{+}ν_μ]=(0.78\pm0.11^{+0.05}_{-0.09}\pm 0.15)\times10^{-3}$, where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively, and the third originates from the input branching fraction of $\bar K_{1}(1270)^0\to K^- π^+π^0$ or $K_1(1270)^-\to K^-π^+π^-$. Combining our branching fractions with the previous measurements of ${\mathcal B}[D^+\to \bar K_1(1270)^0e^+ν_{e}]$ and ${\mathcal B}[D^0\to K_1(1270)^-e^+ν_{e}]$, we determine the branching fraction ratios to be ${\mathcal B}[D^+\to \bar K_1(1270)^0μ^+ν_μ]/{\mathcal B}[D^+\to \bar K_1(1270)^0e^+ν_{e}]=1.03 \pm 0.14 \substack{+0.11\\-0.15}$ and ${\mathcal B}[D^0\to K_1(1270)^-μ^+ν_μ]/{\mathcal B}[D^0\to K_1(1270)^-e^+ν_{e}]=0.74\pm 0.13 \substack{+0.08\\-0.13}$. Using the branching fractions measured in this work and the world-average lifetimes of the $D^+$ and $D^0$ mesons, we determine the semimuonic partial decay width ratio to be $Γ[D^+\to \bar K_1(1270)^0 μ^+ν_μ]/Γ[D^0\to K_1(1270)^- μ^+ν_μ]=1.22\pm 0.10\substack{+0.06\\-0.09}$, which is consistent with unity as predicted by isospin conservation.

Using a sample of $(10087\pm44)\times10^{6}$ $J/ψ$ events accumulated with the BESIII detector, we analyze the decays $η\rightarrowπ^+π^-l^+l^-$ ($l=e$ or $μ$) via the process $J/ψ\rightarrowγη$. The branching fraction of $η\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-$ is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(η\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-)=(3.07\pm0.12_{\rm{stat.}}\pm0.19_{\rm{syst.}}) \times10^{-4}$. No signal events are observed for the $η\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-}$ decay, leading to an upper limit on the branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}(η\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-})<4.0\times10^{-7}$ at the 90\% confidence level. Furthermore, the $CP$-violation asymmetry parameter is found to be $\mathcal{A}_{CP}(η\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}e^{+}e^{-})=(-4.04\pm4.69_{\rm{stat.}}\pm0.14_{\rm{syst.}})\%$, showing no evidence of $CP$-violation with current statistics. Additionally, we extract the transition form factor from the decay amplitude of $η\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-$. Finally, axion-like particles are searched for via the decay $η\rightarrowπ^+π^-a, a\rightarrow e^+e^-$, and upper limits on this branching fraction relative to that of $η\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-$ are presented as a function of the axion-like particle mass in the range $5-200\ \mathrm{MeV}/c^{2}$.

Abstract:
We search for the leptonic decay $D^+\to e^+ν_{e}$ using an $e^+e^-$ collision data sample with an integrated luminosity of 20.3~fb$^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV. No significant signal is observed and an upper limit on the branching fraction of $D^+\to e^+ν_{e}$ is set as $9.7 \times 10^{-7}$, at the 90\% confidence level. Our upper limit is an order of magnitude smaller than the previous limit for this decay mode.

We present the first amplitude analysis and branching fraction measurement of the decay $D^+_s\to π^+π^+π^-π^0π^0$, using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33 fb$^{-1}$, and report the first observation of the pure $W$-annihilation decay $D_s^+ \to ωρ^+$ with a branching fraction of $(0.99\pm0.08_{\rm stat}\pm0.07_{\rm syst})\%$. In comparison to the low significance of the $\mathcal{D}$ wave in the decay $D_s^+ \to φρ^+$, the dominance of the $\mathcal{D}$ wave over the $\mathcal{S}$ and $\mathcal{P}$ waves, with a fraction of $(51.85\pm7.28_{\rm stat}\pm7.90_{\rm syst})\%$ observed in the decay, provides crucial information for the``polarization puzzle", as well as for the understanding of charm meson decays. The branching fraction of $D^+_s\to π^+π^+π^-π^0π^0$ is measured to be $(4.41\pm0.15_{\rm stat}\pm0.13_{\rm syst})\%$. Moreover, the branching fraction of $D_s^+ \to φρ^+$ is measured to be $(3.98\pm0.33_{\rm stat}\pm0.21_{\rm syst})\%$, and the $R_φ= {\mathcal{B}(φ\toπ^+π^-π^0)}/{\mathcal{B}(φ\to K^+K^-)}$ is determined to be $(0.222\pm0.019_{\rm stat}\pm0.016_{\rm syst}$), which is consistent with the previous measurement based on charm meson decays, but deviates from the results from $e^+e^-$ annihilation and $K$-$N$ scattering experiments by more than 3$σ$.

We study the electromagnetic Dalitz decay $J/ψ\to e^+e^- π^0$ using $(10087 \pm 44) \times 10^6$ $J/ψ$ events collected by the \bes detector. The di-electron-invariant-mass dependent transition form factor of this decay is explored for the first time. A significant resonant structure corresponding to the $ρ/ω$ resonance is observed, which cannot be described by existing theoretical models, due to contributions from the isospin-conserving $J/ψ\to ρπ^0$ and isospin-volating $J/ψ\to ωπ^0$ decays. The observed $ρ$--$ω$ interference is consistent with that of the pion form factor but features a relatively narrow $ρ$ peak. By taking into account the contribution of this resonant structure, the branching fraction of $J/ψ\to e^+e^- π^0$ in the full $e^+e^-$ invariant mass spectrum range is also measured for the first time to be $(8.06 \pm 0.31 (\rm{stat}) \pm 0.38 (\rm{syst}))\times 10^{-7}$, which is two times larger than the prediction of the Vector Meson Dominance model due to the observed resonant contribution of $ρ/ω$ resonances.

A search for $η_c(2S)\to p\bar{p}K^+K^-$, together with measurement of branching fractions of $χ_{cJ(J=0,1,2)}\to p\bar{p}K^+K^-$ in the $ψ(3686) \to γη_c(2S)$ and the $ψ(3686) \to γχ_{cJ}$ radiative decays, is performed with $(2712.4\pm14.3)\times 10^6$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. An evidence for $η_c(2S)\to p\bar{p}K^+K^-$ is found, with a significance of $3.3σ$. The product branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}[ψ(3686)\toγη_c(2S)]\cdot\mathcal{B}[η_c(2S)\to p\bar{p}K^+K^-]$ is determined to be $(1.98\mkern 2mu\pm\mkern 2mu0.41_{\text{stat.}}\mkern 2mu\pm\mkern 2mu0.99_{\text{syst.}})\times 10^{-7}$. The product branching fractions of $\mathcal{B}[ψ(3686)\toγχ_{cJ}]\cdot\mathcal{B}[χ_{cJ}\to p\bar{p}K^+K^-]$ are measured to be $(2.49\mkern 2mu\pm\mkern 2mu 0.03_{\text{stat.}}\mkern 2mu\pm\mkern 2mu 0.15_{\text{syst.}})\times 10^{-5}$, $(1.83\mkern 2mu \pm\mkern 2mu 0.02_{\text{stat.}}\mkern 2mu \pm\mkern 2mu 0.11_{\text{syst.}})\times 10^{-5}$, and $(2.43\mkern 2mu\pm\mkern 2mu 0.02_{\text{stat.}}\mkern 2mu\pm\mkern 2mu 0.15_{\text{syst.}})\times 10^{-5}$, for $J=0,\ 1$, and 2, respectively.

Using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at thirty-two center-of-mass energies from 3.50 to 4.95 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 25 $\rm{fb^{-1}}$, we measure the Born cross section of the $e^+e^-\toΣ^0\barΣ^0$ reaction and the effective form factor. No significant charmonium(-like) state, i.e., $ψ(3770)$, $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $ψ(4230)$, $ψ(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$, or $ψ(4660)$, decaying into the $Σ^0\barΣ^0$ final state is observed by fitting the $e^+e^- \to Σ^0\barΣ^0$ dressed cross section. The upper limits for the product of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width at the 90% confidence level are provided for each assumed charmonium(-like) state. In addition, the ratios of the Born cross section and the effective form factor between the $e^+e^-\toΣ^0\barΣ^0$ and the $e^+e^-\toΣ^+\barΣ^-$ reactions are provided, which can be used to validate the prediction of the vector meson dominance model.

No excess of events over expected background is observed for any of the decays of interest. At 90% confidence level, we report the first upper limits on the branching fractions of $η' \to e^{+}e^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-}$ and $η' \to μ^{+}μ^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-}$ to be $ 1.75 \times {10^{-6}}$ and $5.28 \times {10^{-7}}$, respectively. In addition, we set an upper limit on the branching fraction of $η\to e^{+}e^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-}$ to be $6.88 \times {10^{-6}}$, which improves the previous result by about two orders of magnitude.

The branching fractions of the intermediate processes are measured, with the dominant contribution $D^+ \to \bar{K}^{*}(892)^0ρ(770)^+$ observed to have a branching fraction of $(4.15\pm0.07_{\rm stat.}\pm0.17_{\rm syst.})\%$. With the detection efficiency derived from the amplitude analysis, the absolute branching fraction of $D^+ \to K^-π^+π^+π^0$ is measured to be $(6.06\pm0.04_{\rm stat.}\pm0.07_{\rm syst.})\%$.

We report an improved study of the semileptonic decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}$ based on a sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}) = (1.444 \pm 0.022_{\rm stat} \pm 0.024_{\rm syst})\%$, which is the most precise to date, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Based on investigation of the decay dynamics, we find that the decay is dominated by the $K^{*}(892)^-$ component and present an improved measurement of its branching fraction to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e) = (2.039 \pm 0.032_{\rm stat} \pm 0.034_{\rm syst})\%$. We also determine the ratios of the hadronic form factors for the $K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e$ decay to be $r_{V} = V(0)/A_1(0) = 1.48 \pm 0.05_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$ and $r_{2} = A_2(0)/A_1(0) = 0.70 \pm 0.04_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$, where $V(0)$ is the vector form factor and $A_{1,2}(0)$ are the axial form factors. In addition, the $\bar{K}^0π^-$ $\mathcal{S}$-wave component is found to account for $(5.87 \pm 0.32_{\rm stat} \pm 0.16_{\rm syst})\%$ of the total decay rate, corresponding to a branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}[D^0\rightarrow (\bar{K}^0π^-)_{S-{\rm wave}}e^+ν_e] = (0.085 \pm 0.005_{\rm stat} \pm 0.003_{\rm syst})\%$.

Using $(27.12\pm 0.14)\times 10^{8}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the decay $ψ(3686)\toΣ^{0}\barΣ^{0}φ$ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 7.6$σ$. Its branching fraction is measured to be $(2.64 \pm 0.32_{\textrm{stat}} \pm 0.12_{\textrm{sys}}) \times 10^{-6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition, we search for potential intermediate states in the $Σ^{0}φ$($\barΣ^{0}φ$) invariant mass distribution and a possible threshold enhancement in the $Σ^{0}\barΣ^{0}$ system, but no conclusive evidence of is observed.

The branching fractions of $ψ(3686)\to p\bar{p}π^0$ and $ψ(3686)\to p\bar{p}η$ are determined to be $(133.9\pm11.2\pm2.3)\times10^{-6}$ or $(183.7\pm13.7\pm3.2)\times10^{-6}$ and $(61.5\pm6.5\pm1.1)\times10^{-6}$ or $(84.4\pm6.9\pm1.4)\times10^{-6}$, respectively, where the two solutions are caused by an ambiguous phase angle between resonant and continuum processes. Several well-established $N^*$ states are observed in the $pπ^0$ and $pη$ systems, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of decay widths $Γ_{N(1535)\to Nη}/Γ_{N(1535)\to Nπ}$ is determined to be $0.99\pm0.05\pm0.19$.

The inclusive cross sections of prompt $J/ψ$ and $ψ(3686)$ production are measured at center-of-mass energies from 3.808 to 4.951 GeV. The dataset used is 22 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The results obtained are in agreement with the previous BESIII measurements of exclusive $J/ψ$ and $ψ(3686)$ production. The average values obtained for the cross sections measured in the center-of-mass energy ranges from 4.527 to 4.951 GeV for $J/ψ$ and from 4.843 to 4.951 GeV for $ψ(3686)$, where the impact of known resonances is negligible, are $14.0\pm1.7\pm3.1$ pb and $15.3\pm3.0$ pb, respectively. For $J/ψ$, the first and the second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. For $ψ(3686)$, the uncertainty is total. These values are useful for testing charmonium production models.

The process $e^+e^-\to K^0_S K^0_S ψ(3686)$ is studied by analyzing $e^+e^-$ collision data samples collected at eight center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.682 to 4.951 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $4.1~{\rm fb}^{-1}$. Observation of the $e^+e^-\to K^0_S K^0_S ψ(3686)$ process is found for the first time with a statistical significance of $6.3σ$, and the cross sections at each center-of-mass energy are measured. The ratio of cross sections of $e^+e^-\to K_S^0 K_S^0 ψ(3686)$ relative to $e^+e^-\to K^+ K^- ψ(3686)$ is determined to be $\frac{σ(e^+e^-\to K_S^0 K_S^0 ψ(3686))}{σ(e^+e^-\to K^+ K^- ψ(3686))}=0.45 \pm 0.25$, which is consistent with the prediction based on isospin symmetry. The uncertainty includes both statistical and systematic contributions. Additionally, the $K_S^0ψ(3686)$ invariant mass distribution is found to be consistent with three-body phase space. The significance of a contribution beyond three-body phase space is only $0.8σ$.

Using $e^+e^-$ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19,fb$^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.13 to 4.70,GeV, we report the first evidence for a new excited $Ω^{-}$ hyperon, the $Ω(2109)^{-}$, through the process $e^+ e^- \to Ω(2109)^{-} \barΩ^{+} +c.c.$ with a significance of 4.1 $σ$. The mass and width of $Ω(2109)^{-}$ are measured to be $2108.5 \pm 5.2_{\rm stat} \pm 0.9_{\rm syst}\,{\rm MeV}/c^{2}$ and $18.3 \pm 16.4_{\rm stat} \pm 5.7_{\rm syst}\,{\rm MeV}$, respectively. We also present evidence for a new production mechanism for the previously identified $Ω(2012)^-$ via the process $e^+ e^- \to Ω(2012)^{-} \barΩ^{+} +c.c.$ with a significance of 3.5 $σ$.

Using 7.93 ${\rm fb^{-1}}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 ${\rm GeV}$ with the BESIII detector, we present an analysis of the decay $D^{0} \to ηπ^- e^+ ν_{e}$. The branching fraction of the decay $D^{0} \to a_{0}(980)^{-} e^+ ν_{e}$ with $a_{0}(980)^{-} \to ηπ^{-}$ is measured to be $(0.86\pm0.17_{\text{stat}}\pm0.05_{\text{syst}})\times 10^{-4}$. The decay dynamics of this process is studied with a single-pole parameterization of the hadronic form factor and the Flatté formula describing the $a_0(980)$ line shape in the differential decay rate. The product of the form factor $f^{ a_0}_{+}(0)$ and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cd}|$ is determined for the first time with the result $f^{ a_0}_+(0)|V_{cd}|=0.126\pm0.013_{\rm stat}\pm0.003_{\rm syst}$.

No evidence for $Λ-\barΛ$ oscillation is observed. By analyzing $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data with an integrated luminosity of 7.9~fb$^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, the branching fraction of $D^+\toτ^+ν_τ$ is determined as $\mathcal{B}=(9.9\pm 1.1_\mathrm{stat}\pm 0.5_\mathrm{syst})\times10^{-4}$. Taking the most precise result $\mathcal{B}(D^+\toμ^+ν_μ)=(3.981\pm 0.079_\mathrm{stat}\pm0.040_\mathrm{syst})\times10^{-4}$, we determine $R_{τ/μ} = Γ(D^+\toτ^+ν_τ)/Γ(D^+\toμ^+ν_μ)= 2.49\pm0.31$, achieving a factor of two improvement in precision compared to the previous BESIII result. This measurement is in agreement with the standard model prediction of lepton flavor universality within one standard deviation.

Studies are performed of the Cabibbo-favored decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK_{S}^{0}K^+$ and the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK_{S}^{0}π^+$, based on a sample of $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.5 fb$^{-1}$, accumulated at center-of-mass energies between $4599.53$ MeV and $4698.82$ MeV with the BESIII detector. The decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK_{S}^{0}π^+$ is observed for the first time. The branching fractions of $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK_{S}^{0}K^+$ and $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK_{S}^{0}π^+$ are measured to be $(3.04\pm0.30\pm0.16)\times 10^{-3}$ and $(1.73\pm0.27\pm0.10)\times 10^{-3}$, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results correspond to the most precise measurement of these quantities for both decays. Evidence of a $K^{*+}$ contribution in the $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK_{S}^{0}π^+$ decay is found with a statistical significance of $4.7σ$. The branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK^{*+}$ is calculated under three possible interference scenarios.

The beta decay of the lightest charmed baryon $Λ_c^+$ provides unique insights into the fundamental mechanism of strong and electro-weak interactions, serving as a testbed for investigating non-perturbative quantum chromodynamics and constraining the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix parameters. This article presents the first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_c^+ \rightarrow n e^+ ν_{e}$, utilizing $4.5~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of electron-positron annihilation data collected with the BESIII detector. A novel Graph Neural Network based technique effectively separates signals from dominant backgrounds, notably $Λ_c^+ \rightarrow Λe^+ ν_{e}$, achieving a statistical significance exceeding $10σ$. The absolute branching fraction is measured to be $(3.57\pm0.34_{\mathrm{stat.}}\pm0.14_{\mathrm{syst.}})\times 10^{-3}$. For the first time, the CKM matrix element $\left|V_{cd}\right|$ is extracted via a charmed baryon decay as $0.208\pm0.011_{\rm exp.}\pm0.007_{\rm LQCD}\pm0.001_{τ_{Λ_c^+}}$. This work highlights a new approach to further understand fundamental interactions in the charmed baryon sector, and showcases the power of modern machine learning techniques in experimental high-energy physics.

Utilizing 4.5${~\rm{fb}}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV, the first observation of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_c^{+}\to pπ^0$ is presented, with a statistical significance of $5.4σ$. The ratio of the branching fractions of $Λ_c^{+}\to pπ^0$ and $Λ_c^{+}\to pη$ is measured as $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^{+}\to pπ^0)/\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^{+}\to pη)=(0.120\pm0.026_{\rm stat.}\pm0.007_{\rm syst.})$. This result resolves the longstanding discrepancy between earlier experimental searches, providing both a decisive conclusion and valuable input for QCD-inspired theoretical models. A sophisticated deep learning approach using a Transformer-based architecture is employed to distinguish the signal from the prevalent hadronic backgrounds, complemented by thorough validation and systematic uncertainty quantification.

By analyzing $(27.12\pm0.14)\times10^8$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the decays of $χ_{cJ} \to p \bar{p} K^0_S K^- π^+ +c.c.(J=0, 1, 2)$ are observed for the first time with statistical significances greater than $10σ$. The branching fractions of these decays are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c0}\to p \bar p K^{0}_{S} K^- π^+ + c.c.)=(2.61\pm0.27\pm0.32)\times10^{-5},$ $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\to p \bar p K^{0}_{S} K^- π^+ + c.c.)=(4.16\pm0.24\pm0.46)\times10^{-5},$ and $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c2}\to p \bar p K^{0}_{S} K^- π^+ + c.c.)=(5.63\pm0.28\pm0.46)\times10^{-5}$, respectively. The processes $χ_{c1,2} \to \bar{p} Λ(1520) K^0_S π^{+} + c.c.$ are also observed, with statistical significances of 5.7$σ$ and 7.0$σ$, respectively. Evidence for $χ_{c0} \to\bar{p} Λ(1520) K^0_S π^{+} + c.c.$ is found with statistical significances of 3.3$σ$ each. The corresponding branching fractions are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c0}\to \bar{p} Λ(1520) K^0_S π^{+} + c.c.) =(1.61^{+0.68}_{-0.64}\pm0.23)\times10^{-5}$, $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\to \bar{p} Λ(1520) K^0_S π^{+} + c.c.)=(4.06^{+0.80}_{-0.76}\pm0.52)\times10^{-5}$, and $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c2}\to \bar{p} Λ(1520) K^0_S π^{+} + c.c.)=(4.09^{+0.87}_{-0.84}\pm0.42)\times10^{-5}$. Here, the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic.

Using $20.3\,\rm fb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at the center-of-mass energy 3.773\,GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of the semileptonic decay $D^+\to η^\prime μ^+ν_μ$ with significance of $8.6σ$ including systematic uncertainties, and an improved measurement of $D^+\to η^\prime e^+ν_e$. The branching fractions of $D^+\to η^\prime μ^+ν_μ$ and $D^+\to η^\prime e^+ν_e$ are determined to be $(1.92\pm0.28_{\rm stat}\pm 0.08_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-4}$ and $(1.79\pm0.19_{\rm stat}\pm 0.07_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-4}$, respectively. The ratio of the two branching fractions is determined to be ${\mathcal R}_{μ/e}=1.07\pm0.19_{\rm stat}\pm 0.03_{\rm syst}$, which agrees with the theoretical expectation of lepton flavor universality within the Standard Model.From an analysis of the $D^+\to η^\prime \ell^+ν_\ell$ decay dynamics, the product of the hadronic form factor $f_+^{η^{\prime}}(0)$ and the CKM matrix element $|V_{cd}|$ is measured for the first time, giving $f^{η^\prime}_+(0)|V_{cd}| = (5.92\pm0.56_{\rm stat}\pm0.13_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-2}$. The $η-η^\prime$ mixing angle in the quark flavor basis is determined to be $φ_{\rm P} =(39.8\pm0.8_{\rm stat}\pm0.3_{\rm syst})^\circ$.

Using $20.3~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at a center-of-mass energy of $E_{\rm cm}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we determine the branching fraction of the leptonic decay $D^+\toμ^+ν_μ$ to be $(3.981\pm0.079_{\rm stat}\pm0.040_{\rm syst})\times10^{-4}$. Interpreting our measurement with knowledge of the Fermi coupling constant $G_F$, the masses of the $D^+$ and $μ^+$ as well as the lifetime of the $D^+$, we determine $f_{D^+}|V_{cd}|=(47.53\pm0.48_{\rm stat}\pm0.24_{\rm syst}\pm0.12_{\rm input})~\mathrm{MeV}$. This result is a factor of 2.3 more precise than the previous best measurement. Using the value of the magnitude of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cd}|$ given by the global standard model fit, we obtain the $D^+$ decay constant $f_{D^+}=(211.5\pm2.3_{\rm stat}\pm1.1_{\rm syst}\pm0.8_{\rm input})$ MeV. Alternatively, using the value of $f_{D^+}$ from a precise lattice quantum chromodynamics calculation, we extract $|V_{cd}|=0.2242\pm0.0023_{\rm stat}\pm0.0011_{\rm syst}\pm0.0009_{\rm input}$.

Using (2712.4 $\pm$ 14.3)$\times 10^{6}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, a partial wave analysis of the decay $ψ(3686) \to φηη' $ is performed with the covariant tensor approach. An axial-vector state with a mass near 2.3 $\rm GeV/c^2$ is observed for the first time. Its mass and width are measured to be 2316 $\pm 9_{\mathrm{stat}} \pm 30_{\mathrm{syst}}\,\rm MeV/c^2$ and 89 $\pm 15_{\mathrm{stat}} \pm 26_{\mathrm{syst}}\,\rm MeV$, respectively. The product branching fractions of $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686) \to X(2300) η') \mathcal{B}(X(2300)\to φη)$ and $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686) \to X(2300) η)\mathcal{B}(X(2300)\to φη')$ are determined to be (4.8 $\pm 1.3_{\mathrm{stat}} \pm 0.7_{\mathrm{syst}})\times 10^{-6}$ and (2.2 $\pm 0.7_{\mathrm{stat}} \pm 0.7_{\mathrm{syst}})\times 10^{-6}$, respectively. The branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686) \to φηη')$ is measured for the first time to be (3.14$\pm0.17_{\mathrm{stat}}\pm0.24_{\mathrm{syst}})\times10^{-5}$.
The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic.

Based on 7.33 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies from 4.128 to 4.226 GeV, a search for the Majorana neutrino $ν_m$ is conducted in the lepton-number-violating decays of $D_s^+\to h^-h^0e^+e^+$. Here, $h^-$ represents a $K^-$ or $π^-$, and $h^0$ represents a $π^0$, $K_S^0$ or $φ$. No significant signal is observed, and the upper limits of their branching fractions at the 90\% confidence level are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to φπ^-e^+e^+) < 6.9 \times 10^{-5}$, $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to φK^-e^+e^+) < 9.9 \times 10^{-5}$, $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K_S^0π^-e^+e^+) < 1.3 \times 10^{-5}$, $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K_S^0K^-e^+e^+) < 2.9 \times 10^{-5}$, $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to π^-π^0e^+e^+) < 2.9 \times 10^{-5}$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^-π^0e^+e^+) < 3.4 \times 10^{-5}$. The Majorana neutrino is searched for with different mass assumptions within the range [0.20, 0.80] GeV$/c^2$ in the decay of $D_s^+\toφe^+ν_m$ with $ν_m\toπ^-e^+$, and the upper limits of the branching fractions at the 90\% confidence level are at the level of $10^{-5}-10^{-2}$, depending on the mass of the Majorana neutrino.

Abstract:
The $CP$-even fractions ($F_{+}$) of the decays $D^0\toπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$ and $D^0\to K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}$ are measured with a quantum-correlated $ψ(3770)\to D\bar{D}$ data sample collected by the BESIII experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.93 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The $CP$-even fractions ($F_{+}$) of the decays $D^0\toπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$ and $D^0\to K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}$ are measured with a quantum-correlated $ψ(3770)\to D\bar{D}$ data sample collected by the BESIII experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.93 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The results are $F_{+}^{π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}}=0.9406\pm0.0036\pm0.0021$ and $F_{+}^{K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}}=0.631\pm0.014\pm0.011$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. These measurements are consistent with the previous determinations, and the uncertainties for $F_{+}^{π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}}$ and $F_{+}^{K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}}$ are reduced by factors of 3.9 and 2.6, respectively. The reported results provide important inputs for the precise measurement of the angle $γ$ of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix and indirect $CP$ violation in charm mixing.

We present a study of the semileptonic decay $D^0\rightarrow π^-π^0e^{+}ν_{e}$ using an $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sample of $7.93~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. The branching fraction of $D^0\to ρ(770)^-e^+ν_e$ is measured to be $(1.439 \pm 0.033(\rm stat.) \pm 0.027(\rm syst.)) \times10^{-3}$, which is a factor 1.6 more precise than previous measurements. By performing an amplitude analysis, we measure the hadronic form-factor ratios of $D^0\to ρ(770)^-e^+ν_e$ at $q^2=0$ assuming the single-pole-dominance parametrization: $r_{V}=V(0)/A_1(0)=1.548\pm0.079(\rm stat.)\pm0.041(\rm syst.)$ and $r_{2}=A_2(0)/A_1(0)=0.823\pm0.056(\rm stat.)\pm0.026(\rm syst.)$.

Using $7.9~\rm{fb^{-1}}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at $\sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the massless dark photon with the flavor-changing neutral current processes $D^0\toωγ'$ and $D^0\toγγ'$ for the first time. No significant signals are observed, and the upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the massless dark photon branching fraction are set to be $1.1\times10^{-5}$ and $2.0\times10^{-6}$ for $D^0\toωγ'$ and $D^0\toγγ'$, respectively. These results provide the most stringent constraint on the new physics energy scale associated with $cuγ'$ coupling in the world, with the new physics energy scale related parameter $|\mathbb{C}|^2+|\mathbb{C}_5|^2<8.2\times10^{-17}~\rm{GeV}^{-2}$ at the 90% confidence level.

Using a data sample of $e^+e^-$ collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.93 $\rm fb^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy 3.773~GeV, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay $D^{+} \to K_{S}^{0} K_{S}^{0} π^{+}$. The absolute branching fraction of $D^{+} \to K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0} π^{+}$ is measured to be $(2.97 \pm 0.09_{\rm stat.} \pm 0.05_{\rm syst.})\times10^{-3}$. The dominant intermediate process is $D^{+} \to K_{S}^{0}K^{*}(892)^{+}$, whose branching fraction is determined to be $(8.72 \pm 0.28_{\rm stat.} \pm 0.15_{\rm syst.}) \times 10^{-3}$, including all the $K^*(892)^+$ decays.

Using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected by the BESIII detector at BEPCII corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 30 $\rm fb^{-1}$, we measure Born cross sections and effective form factors for the process $e^+e^-\toΞ^0\barΞ^0$ at forty-five center-of-mass energies between 3.51 and 4.95 GeV. The dressed cross section is fitted, assuming a power-law function plus a charmonium(-like) state, i.e., $ψ(3770)$, $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $ψ(4230)$, $ψ(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$ or $ψ(4660)$. No significant charmonium(-like) state decaying into $Ξ^0\barΞ^0$ is observed. Upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the product of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width are provided for each decay. In addition, ratios of the Born cross sections and the effective form factors for $e^+e^-\toΞ^0\barΞ^0$ and $e^+e^-\toΞ^-\barΞ^+$ are also presented to test isospin symmetry and the vector meson dominance model.

In this Letter, a systematic study of the weak radiative hyperon decay $Ξ^{0}\toΛγ$ at an electron-positron collider using entangled $Ξ^{0}\barΞ^{0}$ pair events is presented. The absolute branching fraction for this decay has been measured for the first time, and is $\left(1.347 \pm 0.066_{\mathrm stat.}\pm0.054_{\mathrm syst.}\right)\times 10^{-3}$. The decay asymmetry parameter, which characterizes the effect of parity violation in the decay, is determined to be $-0.741 \pm 0.062_{\mathrm stat.}\pm 0.019_{\mathrm syst.}$. The obtained results are consistent with the world average values within the uncertainties, offering valuable insights into the underlying mechanism governing the weak radiative hyperon decays. The charge conjugation parity ($CP$) symmetries of branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter in the decay are also studied. No statistically significant violation of charge conjugation parity symmetry is observed.

Measurements of the strong-phase difference between $D^0$ and $\bar{D}^0\toπ^+π^-π^+π^-$ are performed in bins of phase space. The study exploits a sample of quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ mesons collected by the BESIII experiment in $e^+e^-$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$. Here, $D$ denotes a neutral charm meson in a superposition of flavor eigenstates. The reported results are valuable for measurements of the $C\!P$-violating phase $γ$ (also denoted $φ_3$) in $B^\pm \to DK^\pm$, $D \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, and the binning schemes are designed to provide good statistical sensitivity to this parameter. The expected uncertainty on $γ$ arising from the precision of the strong-phase measurements, when applied to very large samples of $B$-meson decays, is around $1.5^\circ$ or $2^\circ$, depending on the binning scheme. The binned strong-phase parameters are combined to give a value of $F_+^{4π} = 0.746 \pm 0.010 \pm 0.004$ for the $C\!P$-even fraction of $D^0 \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, which is around 30\% more precise than the previous best measurement of this quantity.
