Whereas traditional credit scoring tends to employ only individual borrower- or loan-level predictors, it has been acknowledged for some time that connections between borrowers may result in default risk propagating over a network. In this paper, we present a model for credit risk assessment leveraging a dynamic multilayer network built from a Graph Neural Network and a Recurrent Neural Network, each layer reflecting a different source of network connection. We test our methodology in a behavioural credit scoring context using a dataset provided by U.S. mortgage financier Freddie Mac, in which different types of connections arise from the geographical location of the borrower and their choice of mortgage provider. The proposed model considers both types of connections and the evolution of these connections over time. We enhance the model by using a custom attention mechanism that weights the different time snapshots according to their importance. After testing multiple configurations, a model with GAT, LSTM, and the attention mechanism provides the best results. Empirical results demonstrate that, when it comes to predicting probability of default for the borrowers, our proposed model brings both better results and novel insights for the analysis of the importance of connections and timestamps, compared to traditional methods.

This research project seeks to investigate the incorporation of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology with human-computer interaction (HCI) in order to revitalize the Silk Road - specifically in Kermanshah, Iran - and its effect on cultural tourism. Kermanshah has underexplored the rich historical significance of the Silk Road, despite the presence of 24 UNESCO World Heritage sites. From the 2nd century BCE to the 18th century CE, the Silk Road was a vital trade route connecting the West and the East and had enormous cultural, economic, religious, and political effects. The purpose of this study is to examine the application of AR/VR technologies in HCI for the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of the Silk Road's tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Kermanshah, as well as their impact on cultural tourism development. The study also investigates how these innovative technologies can enhance visitors' experiences through immersive and interactive approaches, promote sustainable tourism practices, and contribute to the region's broader socioeconomic benefits. The research will analyze the challenges and opportunities of implementing AR/VR technology in HCI within the context of cultural heritage and tourism in Kermanshah and the Silk Road region more broadly. By combining HCI, AR/VR, and cultural tourism, this research seeks to provide valuable insights into the development of user-centered, immersive experiences that promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Silk Road's distinctive cultural heritage.

License plate recognition systems have a very important role in many applications such as toll management, parking control, and traffic management. In this paper, a framework of deep convolutional neural networks is proposed for Iranian license plate recognition. The first CNN is the YOLOv3 network that detects the Iranian license plate in the input image while the second CNN is a Faster R-CNN that recognizes and classifies the characters in the detected license plate. A dataset of Iranian license plates consisting of ill-conditioned images also developed in this paper. The YOLOv3 network achieved 99.6% mAP, 98.26% recall, 98.08% accuracy, and average detection speed is only 23ms. Also, the Faster R-CNN network trained and tested on the developed dataset and achieved 98.97% recall, 99.9% precision, and 98.8% accuracy. The proposed system can recognize the license plate in challenging situations like unwanted data on the license plate. Comparing this system with other Iranian license plate recognition systems shows that it is Faster, more accurate and also this system can work in an open environment.
